Generator & DG set on hire in Dehradun.

7.5 kW, 60 kW and 125 kW sets for weddings, events, exhibitions and construction sites. We size against your actual load — including the startup surge that trips most incorrectly-specified generators — rather than guessing from guest count or floor area.

What are you powering?

Weddings

A wedding draws far more power than most venues are sanctioned for — decor lighting, the stage, the DJ, catering and cooling all land on the same supply at the same hour. A correctly sized generator is what stops the lights going out during the pheras. We hire out 7.5 kW, 60 kW and 125 kW sets across Dehradun and the Doon Valley, sized to your actual function rather than a guess.

Events & Exhibitions

Event power is a distribution problem as much as a capacity one. An exhibition floor is dozens of small loads spread over distance; a corporate stage is a handful of loads that absolutely cannot drop mid-session. We hire 7.5 kW, 60 kW and 125 kW sets with distribution across Dehradun, sized and balanced for the floor rather than dropped at the gate.

Birthdays & Private Parties

A home or farmhouse party runs into a different problem to a wedding: the venue is a domestic connection that was never designed for a DJ, a lighting rig and a catering counter running at once. The result is a tripped main halfway through the evening. A small generator takes the party load off the house supply entirely. We hire 7.5 kW and larger sets across Dehradun and the Doon Valley for birthdays, anniversaries and private functions.

Construction & Site Power

Site power is a different problem to event power: the hire runs for weeks rather than an evening, the equipment is motor-heavy with severe startup surge, and the set has to sit outdoors through dust and weather. We hire 7.5 kW, 60 kW and 125 kW sets for construction and site work across Dehradun and Uttarakhand, on weekly and monthly terms.

How to size a generator properly

Most generator failures aren’t capacity failures — they’re surge failures. Four rules cover nearly all of it.

01

Size for startup, not just running load

Anything with a motor — AC compressors, water pumps, mixers, freezers — pulls two to three times its running wattage for a moment as it starts. Add up the running load, then add the surge of the largest motor on top. This single step prevents most mid-function trips.

02

Leave headroom — load to about 70–80%

Running a set flat out at its rated capacity leaves nothing for a surge and shortens its life. As a working rule, keep your continuous load at roughly 70–80% of the set's rating.

03

Stagger the big starts

If several heavy loads switch on at once — every AC at the same moment — the combined surge can trip a correctly-sized set. Bringing them up in sequence solves it without a bigger generator.

04

Check single- versus three-phase

Larger sets and most site equipment run three-phase. Small event loads are usually single-phase. Getting this wrong means the set can't drive your equipment even when the kW figure looks right.

What things actually draw

Typical running figures to help you build a load list. These are standard ballparks, not measurements of your equipment — check the nameplate on anything large before you finalise.

Not sure what size you need?

Send us your equipment list, venue or site type and the hours you need it for. We’ll work out the load including startup surge and tell you the right set — including if that’s a smaller one than you expected.
