Product Photography Equipment on Rent in Dehradun
Product work is won on consistency. Marketplace listings need every shot to match — same white, same angle, same exposure across a hundred SKUs — and that comes from controlled, repeatable light rather than a clever camera. This kit is built around resolution, a true macro, and light you can shape precisely and set back up identically tomorrow.
What this shoot actually demands
Resolution earns its keep here
Product images get cropped, zoomed and reused across listings, print and ads. Detail you didn't need on the day becomes useful later.
Soft, controlled light does the selling
Hard light shows every dust speck and blows out packaging. Big, soft, controlled sources make materials read as premium.
Consistency across the whole catalogue
A hundred products shot over three days must look like one set. That's a lighting-and-setup discipline problem, not a camera one.
True macro for the detail shots
Texture, stitching, finish and labelling are what convince someone to buy. A dedicated macro lens focuses far closer than a standard zoom.
The kit
Sony a7R V
High resolution for crops, reuse and print — the body that makes sense when stills are the deliverable.
Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Lens
True 1:1 macro for texture and detail, and a flattering focal length for product portraits.
Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II Lens
Full-product and lifestyle framing without swapping lenses constantly.
Godox Litemons LE300Bi
Controllable bi-colour key, consistent from one setup to the next.
Nanlite FS-300B Bi-Color
Opens shadows on the fill side so product edges stay readable.
Diffusion Frame (All Sizes)
Turns a hard source into the soft, even light that makes products look expensive.
Black Flag (All Sizes)
Adds shape and edge definition by taking light away — the step most tabletop setups skip.
4ft x 4ft Reflector
Lifts shadows gently without adding another light.
Worth adding
Teris TS100 Fluid Head
Locked-off repeatable framing across a long catalogue run.
LED Mat Panel
A soft, even source that's easy to place close on small setups.
3x3 Mirror Board
Precise specular highlights on glass, metal and glossy packaging.
H&Y RevoRing Variable ND Filter
Shooting wide open under bright continuous light.
What people forget
Shooting the catalogue over several days without notes
Record the light positions, heights and settings. Without them, day three won't match day one and the listing set looks inconsistent.
No negative fill
Adding more light flattens a product. Taking light away with a flag is what gives it shape and edges.
Ignoring dust and fingerprints
A macro lens shows everything. Cleaning the product between shots is genuinely half the job.
Guessing white balance per shot
Set it once from a reference and lock it. Auto white balance across a catalogue guarantees mismatched whites.

Product & e-commerce kit — FAQs
What equipment do I need for e-commerce product photography?
A decent camera, a macro or short telephoto lens, two controllable lights, and diffusion. The lighting and diffusion matter more than the camera — consistent, soft light is what makes marketplace listings look professional.
Do I need a macro lens for product shots?
For small products, jewellery, or anything where texture and finish are the selling point, yes — a standard zoom can't focus close enough. For larger products a 24–70 is usually sufficient.
Can I rent just the lighting for a product shoot?
Yes. Plenty of people have a camera and need the light and diffusion, which is the harder half to own. Tell us the products and we'll suggest a setup.
Do you shoot product photography as well?
Yes — we shoot product and packaging photography, including for marketplace listings. See our product photography service.
