Everything else is backdrop. Front and three-quarter fill on the couple at the mandap and on the stage is the difference between usable and unusable footage, and it's the layer most plots leave out.
One colour temperature across the room
The decorator's warm wash, the venue's fixtures and the photo team's lights all need to agree. Where they don't, skin tones shift every time the camera pans.
Slow motion is standard now
Entries, varmala and dance are shot at high frame rates. Any fixture that flickers shows up as banding at those speeds, so the whole plot needs to be flicker-free, not just most of it.

Lighting is usually the largest electrical load at an event after air conditioning. Large HMI heads and tungsten fixtures draw heavily and pull extra current at strike, so a plot that looks fine on paper can trip a venue's sanctioned supply. If you're lighting a lawn, facade or large hall, plan the power alongside the plot — we hire generators too, so it can be quoted as one job.

Do you supply decor lighting — string lights, chandeliers and drapery?
No. We hire professional lighting fixtures — stage, key, colour and venue heads — not decorative items. Decor lighting usually comes from your decorator, and the two work best planned together: they handle the look of the room, we make sure the camera can actually see faces.
Will the lighting work for my photographer and videographer?
That's the whole point of how we spec it. We light for camera first — consistent colour temperature, flicker-free at high frame rates, and real front light on faces. Put us in touch with your photo-video team and we'll match their requirements.
Can you light an outdoor lawn or a facade?
Yes — that's what the larger heads and dino banks are for. Outdoor areas need considerably more output than an indoor hall, and the power to run it, which we can quote together.
Do you provide someone to operate the lights?
We hire crew alongside the kit — a gaffer or light man — which is worth it for anything beyond a simple setup. Tell us the plot and we'll advise what's genuinely needed.
